ASUS Supposedly Preparing Ultraslim Tablet

ASUS is famous for its original and daring designs when it comes to tablets and hybrid devices, so we have big expectations for this year. The ASUS PadFone Infinity and Transformer Infinity are already great looking, but what’s next? An ultraslim slate, apparently…

By the way they did a fine job with the Nexus 7 II, so they’ve got a trifecta of great built products in 2013, but still they want to beat Sony. By “beat Sony” I mean they want to strip them of the title of “thinnest tablet out there”, taken by the Xperia Tablet Z, at just 6.9 mm in thickness. Sources say that ASUS is looking into covering the niche of a 6 mm thick tablet, that sounds awesome if you ask me.
The source didn’t provide other details aside from the thickness and we don’t even know if it’s going to be a Windows or Android device. As usual you should take the info with a grain of salt and I expect Tegra 4 to be on board here, or maybe a dual core Intel CPU if the device is cheaper, perhaps a Snapdragon 600 or 800 for a LTE slate.
